So it is highly likely that my son has the mumps. At least that is what the doctor has said we should expect. That in itself is bad news. The worse news is that neither I or my wife, and certainly not my youngest son, have had the mumps before.

It is pretty much the childhood sickness I have feared the most. I have a friend who became partially deaf because of it. They say that adults have it a lot harder then kids do.

Well now we just have to wait and see what is to become of it.

Man! I hope if I get it at all, I don’t get it in the balls!

On the bright side, my son and I were able to take funny photos on my iPad as we waited for the doctor to see us. Here they are.
