The kids and I have had a wonderful week. The weather has been sunny and we get to play outside everyday.

The week went by with out much drama. The kids learned a lot during school time, Kayden enjoyed his clubs as usual and despite the incredible heat the kids are healthy and active.

Rainy season seems to be gone and we are left with wonderful warm sunshine…and by “wonderful warm sunshine” I of course mean unbearable blistering heat. Will I never be thankful for the weather? ha

I am actually very thankful for the sunshine because the kids are a lot happier when they get to play outside. And happy kids equals happy parents.

Summer is here and the it is getting hot! The kids can now enjoy the fun of splashing and playing in the water! Hurrah!

Storms and Sunshine

The recent weeks feel like they are zooming by so fast. So much work, both home and business related. My wife and I have never been this busy before. My wife, aside from her regular teaching job, now has 1 or 2 private English classes a day. This leaves me with less work time though I am trying to wake up a little earlier to fit in a bit more. Plus that with our keeping up with the children’s schooling, taking Kayden to two clubs during the week, ensuring good exercise time for our wild boys, cleaning up around the house, doing the laundry… and you have one blur of a week.

The weather has still been raining often, but today we got a rare bit of sunshine. It really helped to  brighten the mood of my children. They really love to be out doors.

These past days have been quite busy. I know I haven’t been posting much on my blog, but I have been doing quite a bit of drawing…when I am not watching my two children.

Here are some of my recent works I have finished.

For a children’s short story I finished 2 out of 6 scenes.

and for a monster card game I finished one character. I drew this character first in Black and white.

Then I colored it digitally

And finally I drew it in colored pencil

So that’s been keeping me busy. I really love drawing and have been enjoying these projects immensely.

Oh Happy Day

So I just celebrated my birthday with my lovely wife and children. Nothing fancy, but my wife went the extra mile to make me feel loved. She is really something.

A big thank you to anybody who wrote or called me on my birthday it made me feel loved. I think I will have an awesome year since many people wished it for me. Cheers!

This whole week has been actually quite tough. I think I had hit a big low in my mood and I wasn’t as happy and focused as I should be, but after yesterday and today I feel great and ready to take on the next week.

Today was a big day for my son. Kayden swallowed his fear, took the plunge and learned how to ride his bike with out his training wheels. Woot woot!

Of course Getting on and getting off his bike is still less then graceful, to say the least, but still it’s a big step for Kayden.

Three cheers for Kayden.

On May 1st we took the kids to a museum that is part of the nuclear power plant near to our area. It is a museum about how energy is created. The nuclear power plant is shut down now due to the problem that this country is facing with the radiation that is being emitted from the ruined nuclear power plant in Fukushima.

I thought it would be interesting to go to the museum and try to learn more about how the nuclear energy is made and harnessed. It was a very nice museum and although I didn’t really learn more then I already knew it was still pretty fun for the kids. They explain not only about how nuclear energy is created, but about other ways in which energy is harvested through giant wind mills or dams etc.
