Summer, I miss you

Now that its cold I’m starting to miss summer quite a bit. It was nice to be able to take the kids to the beach to play around everyday. Now I have to find more elaborate ways to get them tired. (there is a lot more wrestling going on since it became autumn)

So to match my mood I will post some pictures of the kids, my wife and I that we took just a few short months ago.

Awhile back a fellow blogger and artist, Holly Wolfe, offered on her blog to draw requests from a certain number of people. I asked if she would be willing to draw a picture for me and I was lucky enough to be the first one to request something from her.

I sent her a picture of me and my son goofing around in our clown costume before a charity show we were going to perform in and Holly gladly took on the challenge capturing this great moment of ours into a wonderful piece of art.

A Halloween Birthday Picture

I drew this picture for my little sister (not so little anymore, 21!) for her birthday which she had yesterday. She was born a day before Halloween. Here’s the picture.

Recently I was commissioned to draw a couple of kids coloring pages. They are drawn to help christian children memorize their bible verses. With each verse I tried to think of out of the box ways to illustrate the point so that it would stand out to the children and they would be better able to remember the words when they remember the picture that was associated with them. Having two kids of my own really helped me with this project as I was able to imagine what they would like and what would help them remember. I hope you all enjoy these pictures.

Juice Please

Sean is a major grump when he wakes up from his nap, but just the other day when he was being all grumpy I offered him some juice and the result was stunning. In almost half a second his face was dry, eyes were wide open, pupils dilated and he had the biggest smile. He started doing a little dance too! He was just ecstatic. ha! It was super cute.

Back to my vacation.

So I was stuck in traffic for hours with my happy family as we headed to visit the reletives. We were pretty happy despite the traffic being bad enough to make a rock lose its patience.

It’s been awhile

I haven’t touched this blog in almost a month.

First there was vacation, then there was vacation blues and finally I had to face the music for neglecting my work for awhile and get all of that stuff done. And of course…kids.

But I think I put of posting on my blog long enough and I will try to post a bit about the fun vacation I had with the wife and kids. If nothing else it will help me relive the crazy, stressful and yet relaxing time that I had just a few weeks ago.

Also I have some more art that I can post so if you are interested stick around.

Summer Vacation is here…finally

So my little family and I will be going on a summer vacation trip to visit relatives and friends! We’ve been waiting for this day to come and it is finally here. It’s going to be fun!

I will not be posting on this blog for the next week or so, but I will fill you in on all the fun we were able to have.

By the way, this is my 80th comic for this blog. Hurrah! Thank you to all who have been reading commenting and liking my little comics, art work and ramblings about my day with the kids. Till later.
