So I’m trying to get back into the swing of writing on my blog again. Its been so long I almost feel like I forgot how. But it’s nice to be here writing about my little life again.

So I wanted to write about my family’s little vacation trip. I’m using the word “little” lightly. It was actually quite a long and busy vacation and we didn’t waste a single day or moment.

Fathers Day

Yesterday was Fathers day. My wife and children made fathers day real special for me.

First I had a nice sleep in… something I don’t get to do too often and woke up to a special breakfast of delicious breads and a nice cold cup of coffee. But best of all there was a sweet hand made card with a note from my wife and two sons.

Hungry, but not

Kayden has been facing a little problem at mealtimes recently. If the food isn’t really to his liking he will take ages, eons, century’s to finish his food. He will sit and talk and laugh and stare into space…basically anything, but eat.

A funny story. One day Kayden saw some cookies and he really wanted it. I think his mind was totally absorbed in getting those cookies in his belly, because he started flipping out. Jumping up and down spinning around.

A Week to Remember

It’s been a very busy week. Grandma came over for a visit again from the 23rd of April. We were all very excited to see her, but Kayden was especially happy. He helped prepare Grandmas bedding and cleaned the room with me.

We went to pick her up from the highway bus at 7:30 that night. Grandma had brought some gifts from Kayden’s friends. They wanted to give the presents to Kayden and Sean for their birthdays, but since they live a bit far away, they gave it to Grandma to bring to us. It was very nice and it was like a birthday all over again for my kids. Kayden got a truck and a sleek car and Sean got a cool airplane. So nice!

Kayden cannot contain his emotions. It is quite funny.

Sometimes if he finishes all his food quickly or if he behaved extra well I will try to reward him with a special little treat.

Lol! I know every parent has tried this one time or another. Not just with lemons, but with other foods too. It is so interesting what reaction you’re going to get from your child when you present them with new foods.

We had another fun day with Grandma today and this time the sun was out in full force and it was a lovely day. Well the wind was blowing quite hard occasionally, but it was still a nice day.

The kids had breakfast with Mommy and Grandma. Grandma made a healthy oatmeal breakfast for us all. It was very nice. During breakfast Mommy and Kayden made a funny little man using a turnip and some toothpicks. It was very cute and Kayden and Mommy came all the way upstairs to show me and have me take a picture of it.
